Life+ project “Further Development and Implementation of an EU-level Forest Monitoring System" (FutMon; 2009 - 2010)

FutMon was probably the largest Life project ever funded, with a total budget of over 34 MEU and 38 partners, from 24 European countries.

The project aimed to create a pan-European forest monitoring system able to provide strategic information on forests in the European Union, as required by the international obligations of the Forest Action Plan.

TerraData has been involved in the following Actions: IM1-15(IT), Selection of core plots for intensive monitoring; C1-QAC-15(IT), Coordination of quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC); C1- HarmonLS-40(IT), Development of selection criteria for large-scale plots.
